My very favorite guide in Africa, Gavin Ford, is leading a special, small group trip to Tanzania for the migration, followed by Rwanda for gorilla trekking. If this is on your bucket list, this is the way to check it off!
For those of you who have had the opportunity to travel with Gavin, you will know the value he adds to each and every safari that he leads.
- Dates – The safari will start on the 25th February 2016, ending thirteen days later on the 8th March 2016.
- Where – The safari will incorporate the best of Tanzania and Rwanda.
- Lake Manyara National park
- Ngorongoro Crater
- Serengeti National Park
- Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park, Rwanda.
The Wildebeest Migration should be in the southern section of the Serengeti and this time of the year will be the tail end of the calving season meaning plenty of young wildebeest calves which do attract predators giving guests a very exciting and full game viewing experience.
Gorilla trekking in Rwanda is for many the realization of a dream come true. There is something magical about sitting on the side of a once powerful volcano surrounded by forest, mere feet away from one of the great apes and marveling at the power and peacefulness these incredible animals exude.
We feel this itinerary combines some of the best East Africa has to offer and will not fail to deliver on all expectations of what a safari should be.
Please Note: In order to ensure each guest benefits from Gavin’s knowledge and expertise we have limited the group to eight guests in total.
Price is $16,590 per person.
