What’s the best hotel in Nashville? The Forbes 5-star, AAA 5- Diamond, and Virtuoso, Hermitage Hotel! Travel Coordinator Tanya Owen had a great stay with her family and friends and shares the following report for us:
Every year “the girls” fly in to a different city for a long weekend to catch up on all the happenings with our families and each other. Our criteria for the city choice are fun, culture and hospitality and for our hotel we seek pampering and luxury accommodations. And boy, did we hit all the right buttons this year when we chose Nashville and The Hermitage Hotel!
Located downtown, The Hermitage Hotel is by the State Capital and within walking distance of the lively music scene on Broadway. A doorman immediately and warmly greeted us and escorted us into the hotel lobby which stuns with high soaring ceilings, grandeur “Beaux-Arts” style architecture and elegance. We were delighted at checkin to discover our Virtuoso amenities: daily complimentary breakfast for two and $100.00 credit per room to use in the hotel. Our “splurge” was looking like a great decision!
After giving our bags to the valet, we headed to the Oak Room bar to rendezvous with our group as they arrived, enjoying glasses of Merlot from the Hermitage’s own wine label, The Round Hill Hermitage California, and sampling Southern staples on the menu–deviled eggs and fried green tomatoes.
Moving up to our rooms, we were delighted with large, bright and beautifully appointed spaces with luxurious bedding and a pillow menu to ensure complete comfort. It didn’t matter whether we chose a room with a king or queen size beds, the décor and spaciousness of each room exuded elegance and splendor. Extra amenities that were provided with our rooms showed The Hermitage’s attention to details and guest comfort; a Nespresso machine, a fully stocked mini bar, a wonderful selection of magazines, a shoeshine service and umbrellas were all at our disposal.
As expected with such an outstanding hotel, the in-suite bathrooms were large and luxurious and thoughtfully set apart from the bedroom, providing complete privacy. After a long, fun-filled evening of dancing and listening to country music, I enjoyed a luxurious soaking bath lavishing myself with the Molton Brown amenities.
Our stay in Nashville was also enhanced by the hotel’s friendly concierge service who booked dinner reservations for us–they were a lifesaver on a busy Saturday night!
Nashville has a lot to offer for a fun getaway with friends, and The Hermitage hotel was the perfect choice and made our stay and enjoyment of this city all the better!
